Nigel de Wit is based in Lakewood Ranch on Florida’s Gulf Coast and brings more than 25 years of experience across technology leadership, business operations, cybersecurity, and vendor management. His background combines executive operational leadership with deep practical technical expertise, providing a unique perspective on how technology decisions affect business performance, operational efficiency, cybersecurity, and long-term strategic planning.

For more than 15 years, Nigel served in executive leadership roles as both Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Operations Officer (COO) for a multi-site advanced radiology imaging center organization. In that role, he was responsible not only for technology infrastructure and cybersecurity oversight, but also broader operational leadership, vendor management, strategic planning, budgeting, contract negotiations, and business operations across a complex healthcare environment.

Lakewood CIO Advisory was created to provide business owners with experienced independent technology oversight and executive guidance without the cost and overhead associated with a full-time technology executive. Many businesses rely heavily on outside IT and technology providers while lacking experienced independent oversight to help evaluate vendor recommendations, technology investments, operational risks, and long-term strategic decisions.

In many cases, business owners and executive leadership continue to rely on Lakewood CIO Advisory as an ongoing independent resource for operational guidance, vendor oversight, strategic planning, and participation in leadership or board-level discussions involving technology and business operations.

Nigel’s experience includes vendor negotiations, cybersecurity oversight, operational risk management, infrastructure planning, technology transitions, and strategic business initiatives, including support during acquisitions, business growth, vendor transitions, and operational modernization efforts.

Prior to relocating to the United States and becoming a U.S. citizen, Nigel owned and operated an IT technology services company in England, providing hands-on technical implementation, infrastructure design, and operational support for a wide range of businesses.

Unlike traditional technology vendors or managed service providers, Lakewood CIO Advisory does not sell technology products or managed IT services. The focus is entirely on helping business owners improve accountability, strengthen vendor oversight, reduce unnecessary operational risk, and make informed long-term technology decisions aligned with the interests of the business.
